Driving Innovation is a mobile program that supports economic and workforce development in Tennessee’s rural communities. Our three mobile innovation labs focus on STEAM education, entrepreneurship and small business support, and community placemaking.

Who We Serve
Since February 2018, we’ve brought programming and resources directly to Tennessee’s rural communities. Updated quarterly, last update June 2019.
Our events are attended by everyone, including students, teachers, business owners, community leaders, and entrepreneurs.
We’ve hosted workshops and tours in rural communities at schools, festivals, libraries, summer camps, conferences, chambers, and more.

Who can request a visit? . . .
Any community can request a visit but as part of our mission, we concentrate our efforts in Tennessee’s at risk and distressed counties. Please fill out a request form (in the above FAQ) and our staff will follow-up.
How much does a visit cost? . . .
We are funded by the state to serve distressed and at-risk counties, in those areas there is no cost for a visit.
